Jenna was amazed at her BIG gift for Christmas this year. She got a car. We put the keys inside a Crossfire model car. She could not see the keys till she opened the doors on the car. The keys fell out into her hands and as you can see she went nuts.

Here is Austi. More current pictures. The first is from June 2008. Humberto, Austi and Jenna are taking the candles out of Humberto's birthday cake. We had a nice evening celebrating his birthday at the house. The second picture is of Austi over a year ago. She has not changed much. I belive the date was late May or early June of 2007. Hopefully I can get her to stop long enough to get a picture. She is working long hours at a home for elderly mentally disabled women in Gerard, KS.

Jenna is now officially a High School student. She started her freshman year with a BANG!! She is doing so fantastically well in school. We are so proud of her and the GAL that she is becoming. She was so much fun to have home this summer. She is funny and ACTIVE - always ready to do something. She is on the Freshman volleyball team this year and is enjoying it.

THE NEW TRUCK

Here is Pat's new truck. This is not a current picture. He has added 4 toolboxes on the flatbed part of the truck and on the back door windows, I added his company name and number in red vinyl. I will try to get a newer picture of this when possible.

Pat is so excited to have this truck. It is a 2006 DODGE (of course) 3500 Lone Star Edition Cummins Diesel 6 speed (LOADED TO THE MAX) truck. He told me that this has the truck he always dreamed of. I am so happy that he can have something nice finally that makes him happy. He has worked so hard for so many years. I am sure you can see how proud he is in the pictures.

JENNA

Jenna starts school on August 14th. She will be a freshman in High School. She is way excited to go back this year because she has her permit and is counting the days till her birthday so that she can get her restricted license. For those of you not in Kansas a restricted license is for those who are 15 years old and have driven over 50 hours on a permit, she will no longer need to have a license driver in the car. She can only drive alone to school and work.

Jenna has kept herself extremely busy this summer. She was in a Volleyball League in Ft. Scott, KS and loved it. She will be trying out for the school team once school starts. Jenna also went to Girls Camp (church camp) this summer and loved it. We have several pictures that I will post later. She also got to go to her first Youth Conference. She was so lucky that this is our BIG youth conference year. They all stayed on the MU (Missouri University) campus in Columbia, MO and got to hear from Brad Wilcox and Alex Boya (sp). She had so much fun. I will see if I can get some picture of her from friends and post here. Jenna also went ont he Youth Temple trip to Nauvoo, IL in July and had a blast. The youth got to stay in 3 different homes of the Pioneers and had MANY activities to keep them busy.

AUSTI

Austi is doing well and living on her own in Pittsburgh, KS (about an hour from home). We get to see her often (about once a month). She is working at an embroidery shop. I think that she really is liking it. She has a boyfriend/fiance, his name is Humberto (Umberto - pronunciation). They have been together for a year now and say that they will be getting married in June of 2009. I will get some pictures of them and post them.

PAT

Pat is doing well. His business is thriving and he will be getting a new vehicle next week. He is so happy. He picked this out when we went to Tulsa last weekend. He is currently serving in our Church Branch as the counselor in the Elder's Quorum/High Priest Group and is now a Primary teacher.

Rhonda

Rhonda is also doing well and is working at home doing Pat's Plumbing office management. She is really excited about the Paola house selling and can not wait to be free from that debt. Rhonda went on the Youth Temple trip last month with Jenna to Nauvoo, IL and loved the time she got to spend there. She is also not looking forward to Jenna starting school. She will be EXTREMELY bored since Jenna is such a comedian and keeps Rhonda running. Rhonda is currently serving as the Second Counselor in the Young Womens program and LOVES it.
